Join Australia’s Next Generation of Support Workers

We are an NDIS registered provider delivering Community Access, Camps, Respite, Supported Independent Living and Behaviour Support across NSW, VIC, QLD and WA.

Our support workers help children, teenagers and adults living with disability get out into the community, build skills, try new experiences and most importantly, have fun.

What makes What Ability different?

All What Ability support workers are employed under the SCHADS Award (Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award). We believe great support workers deserve to be paid properly and employed professionally.

Our team is full of passionate, active and driven people who want to make a difference. Many of our support workers are professional and semi-professional athletes who care deeply about inclusion.

We prioritise safety just as much as fun. Before your first booking, you’ll complete relevant training both online and in-person to ensure you’re confident when heading out with your first participant.

You’ll complete:

  • Industry-leading Onboarding and Inductions
  • NDIS-aligned training essential & additional training
  • First Aid, CPR, and essential health training
  • Safety and infection control training
  • Ongoing learning and development

This is not a sit-at-home role. You might be:

  • Taking a participant to the footy
  • Supporting someone to practice public transport
  • Attending camps and overnight stays
  • Helping build confidence in real-world settings
