What is NDIS Respite?

Short Term Respite is a funded support that allows participants continuity of accommodation for a short period of time, with support tailored to their needs. Respite can be used for weekends, overnight stays or short breaks, depending on your funding and goals.

At What Ability, Respite focuses on personal growth, confidence and having fun in a way that feels safe and familiar.

We also have an open-door policy where families are welcome to visit before and during their stay.

We’ll call you

Get to know how our Respite works, confirm eligibility, then book in a time for your free in-person Onboarding call. This call can take up to 30 minutes.

We’ll visit you in person

Together we’ll create a support plan around your goals, and get you set up in our app.

Your first overnight stay!

Your regional manager will connect you with your Support Workers for your first overnight with What Ability!

We’ll check in after your first booking to hear how it went and ensure your support feels just right.
